Membership

 

Any composer born or resident in Ireland can join AIC.

To apply for membership of the AIC, simply e-mail two scores of your work (with recordings if possible) and a CV to [email protected] or to the address below. If your practice does not involve producing scores, please provide two examples of other documentation of your work (e.g. videos, installations, electronic works).

Membership costs €50 per year, €30 for student/unwaged. The criteria are laid out below.

Minimum requirement

Some years' experience of dedicated compositional work, including any or all of the following (or equivalent):

  • ICC Membership

  • 3rd Level or postgraduate study

  • Attending composition summer schools in Ireland or abroad

In addition; preferred but not required

A commitment towards professionalism in composing, such as:

  • Performances outside of ICC and music department concerts

  • Initiative in organising your own performances or ensembles

  • CMC representation

  • Any other professional recognition (commissions, awards, prizes, CD releases, etc)
