Call for works ISCM World New Music Days 2011

There is the annual call for works relating to ISCM's World New Music Days, the 2011 edition in Zagreb. Everyone can read this at www.iscm.org/files/CallforScores2011.pdf

The following is addressed to  members of AIC:

Dear Colleagues,

Once again it is time to start thinking about the ISCM Call for works. Please don't file this away for later perusal as time may be short!

There is a deadline in the attached conditions (1^st August) but, as usual, to be considered for the national submission you must submit scores to AIC by an earlier date to give us time to make a selection of six scores and to send it on. This deadline is July 2nd. The call is also visible on line at www.iscm.org/files/CallforScores2011.pdf

[You can of course make an individual submission also. A fee applies to individual submissions while the national submission requires no fee. That process has a later deadline and details are there on line.]

If you send a score and it does not make it in to the national submission but you would like AIC to send it on as an individual submission we will happily do so provided you have included a cheque to AIC for the individual entry fee (EU50).

Please read the List of Categories carefully. Then also read the conditions on page 4 of the document and remember to include with your 2 scores all the additional elements such as year and duration of score, your contact details etc.

It is always immensely frustrating when scores are missing just one or two of these things! For 'photo' you can choose something like a copy of cmc's composer directory. Likewise for your biog. Please note

These are 'conditions' and so failure to comply also means not making it as part of the national submission.
