3rd February 2010 - Funding from Arts Council slashed

AIC, along with contemporary concert series Music21 and ensemble Concorde, have had their funding applications for 2010 cut totally. Other major players in the contemporary music sector have had reductions in the order of 22%. This is despite the overall Arts Council funds having been reduced by only 11.68% for 2010. AIC and many others were active in the National Campaign for the Arts which helped the Arts Council achieve this relatively 'soft landing'.

The future of AIC has been severely compromised by this action. We hope to have more news soon.
