Last July the AIC promoted Irish composers at the Time of Music Festival, Viitasaari, Finland. The ConTempo string quartet performed the programme below on Sunday, July 12th 2009. The concert was part of AIC's international exchange concert series, which was once more assisted by Culture Ireland. This exchange will include a visit to Ireland of Finnish ensemble Uusinta in 2010. See www.timeofmusic.org , www.uusinta.com , www.cultureireland.gov.ie For details on ConTempo see www.galwayensemble.ie. The concert was a great success; many observers said that it was the high artistic point of the festival.
