1st May 2009 - AIC Supports Symposium in Maynooth

The AIC is pleased to be assisting with the gathering of composers and performers to discuss issues around composing today, including aesthetics for electro-acoustic music, improvisation, and expression. The symposium takes place at Maynooth University, on May 1st and 2nd. Donnacha Dennehy, Grainne Mulvey, Linda Buckley, Kevin O'Connell and Fred Desena are among the composers giving talks and leading discussions on these topics. The Crash Ensemble and the Katabami Quartet are the featured performers bringing their own insights in practical sessions for younger composers.
