AIC Member - Donal Hurley

Donal Hurley was born in Dublin and studied music at University College Dublin. He has worked mainly in electro-acoustic music and music for dance, and has worked closely with the Irish Youth Dance Company and the New Music-New Dance Festival. His compositions have been performed and broadcast on three continents, most recently in China.

He is a lecturer in music at the Mater Dei Institute of Education, Dublin. As a member of the Association of Irish Composers his ambition is to bridge the gap between electronic and acoustic music and to enlarge the perception of contemporary Irish music nationally and internationally.
